    It?s time for Gordon

It?s time to stop pi$$ing about and start Gordon, he brings intensity and leadership by example, this Campions League spot is slipping away from us, if we don?t when our 2 home matches we?re fu(led.

Well he looked off it after the hip injury and Barnes was banging them in. So, he sat out for good reason.

Barnes has looked tired and the link up with Tino in the last 2 matches hasn't been as silky smooth.

Gordon should come back in & Barnes should go right as Murphy has played too much football and needs to come out after that shocking performance at Brighton.

Barnes has been trying to play through the middle and leaving getting past the fullbacks to Tino, and his defensive play is awful? for Brighton?s goal he just stood there and watches the ball go past him when it came to Minteh and stayed rooted to the spot.

Gordon looked much sharper when he came on, put the RB under pressure (which I can?t remember Barnes ever doing, even though he was on a yellow) and never ran the line down to get past him.

Barnes game is about cutting in, and to be fair most of his goals have been that way? but that means we only get past their fullbacks on Murphy?s side, and that meant they only had to block Murphy so he did look poor? but have said a few times teams would figure out how to negate him as if they close him down he?s very reluctant to try and take anyone on.

Also, look who Barnes has actually scored against? none of the Top 6 like Gordon had been doing regularly.

We miss Joelinton?s presence on the left massively too, it?s meant we really only threaten opposing teams with Tino when Barnes is drifting into the middle and we?re suffering for it? Willock is too lightweight to play from midfield I reckon, so while I rate Barnes I think without Joelinton he and we are suffering with him as a left forward.

So yes, definitely time to bring in Gordon and maybe we rest Murphy, as you say he has played a lot of games and it would allow Barnes to try and get past people using his right foot which he clearly favours.

Gordon and Botman have to start on sunday Murphy benched and Barnes moved to the right, the other change could and maybe should be Miley for Willock.

Yes. Always Gordon time IMO. He is an automatic starter every time with rotation beteeen Murphy and Barnes. Barnes has been too good to ignore of late but I would pull him after 60 for Murphy if he is pants.

I'd give Willock another go but pull him after 60 for Miley if he is poor.

Yeah, I think Gordon should come back in. I'd keep Murphy as he has an eye for when Isak is in a good position but I'd put Botman back in.

Would agree with all of this to be honest.

I?d start AG on the left and Barnes on the right. Murphy as an option to replace either who doesn?t play well.

This plus Botman starting would give us a good chance provided we put them under relentless pressure from the off whistle.

Clelski are often slow to get into their stride and therefore vulnerable to our pressure play. This should give us the opportunity to grab an early lead but only provided that we keep a sound defence, thus the need for the addition of Botman at the back and Gordon up front.

cant see him starting botman, agree about gordon, murph should drop out. Not sure about Miley, i dont get all the hype around him to be honest, never seems to do anything memorable, defence splitting pass, shots on goal, tackles, looks like hes running in treacle? i would stick with Willock, but, eddie might have something up his sleeve, hopefully!
