    O/T favourite wines

Now my mate Perigordmiller creates some weird and wonderful wines that would leave you head spinning.

But I do like a bargain and today I found a couple of bergerac wines that have really enhanced my evening.

Here is a trick. If you find a wine with the word r?coltant on the cork cover it means that the grape grower has bottled it. This means normally that the taste is consistent but you probably wont find it again.

If you have enjoyed a r?coltant wine and you want it again you will be able to buy it on line.

Unfortunately for the French wine industry, many people are switching to the offerings of the New World. Including me.

I'm currently quaffing an agreeable Seth Effriken Shiraz. Cheers.

It doesn?t matter because the French are loyal to their product.

I have a cousin in Toro that produces fantastic wines. We import it and are going on a trip next year.

Look her up Spanish Pallet. Her old boot range is excellent although a bit pricy for us 😂 a tenner a bottle

It's like playing Wheel of Fortune on here, it's recoltant apparently, with an acute accent on the "e".

That was a fantastic day. I remember the enjoyment of sailing on the yachts. I nearly missed the departure 😂

Can't help but say that Argentinian Malbec is my current favourite red. Not just any though as there are some poor examples out there.

I had in the past though had a great indulgence for Le XV du President. This describes it to a tee.....from deep in the south of France, the Roussillon is home to dense fruit and spice-powered Grenache grapes, just what’s required for the legendary XV. This wine has inspired a generation of Big Reds and remains incomparably rich, weighty and satisfying.

12.99 per bottle so fairly priced compared to some out there. It's what your taste buds take to in the end.
