    Current players and their contracts

How the Newcastle United contracts situation now looks (via official club releases and media reports), when current deals are up:

    End of June 2025:

    Wilson, Gillespie, Ruddy, Lewis

    End of June 2026:

Schar, Burn, Targett, Pope, Longstaff, Ashby, Hayden, Trippier, Krafth, Dubravka, Lascelles

    End of June 2027:

    Botman, Jacob Murphy, Willock

    End of June 2028:

Tonali, Isak, Barnes, Livramento, Bruno, Miley, Joelinton, Alex Murphy

    End of June 2029:

Kelly (now on loan at Juventus who have an obligation to buy), Hall, Gordon

Other than Callum Wilson, that would then leave only the following seeing their current deals set to conclude at the end of June 2025.

Jamal Lewis leaving for sure. Then Ruddy and Gillespie expected to leave as well, unless kept on as part of the backroom/coaching team.

The club looks on top of the situation. I'd let this years ones go for sure.

I agree, not losing anything at all showing this group the door.

Wilson is apparently 50/50 to get a new contract. I really hope another club makes him an offer he finds attractive and make the decision for the club.

We need to have someone else behind Isak that is actually available and scores goals. Astonishingly Wilson has made 15 appearances in the Prem, admittedly 14 as sub. However, more importantly ... scored ZERO goals. ZERO, Nada, None, nish, Feck all!

The club needs a 2nd striker who will start in cup matches and maybe 5-10 league matches and score or assist in at least half of those matches.

Wilson scored 9 in 20 last season. Fair enough. injuries are exponential with age in professional sportsmen. It is what it is.

Even on a game by game basis, he's not worth the squad place as he will not deliver the goals we need.

I don't think he's even assissted a goal this season has he either.

I think Ruddy will be moving to coaching team, that was my understanding of the deal - he already coaches the much younger younguns whilst he's finishing badges.

Callum Wilson has had absolutely zero positive impact on the team this season what so ever.

    End of the road.

Why do I see Wilson ending up at Arsenal 🤔

I see them having a big clear out this season.

Give up on Jesus, realise Havertz is not a striker, And I just think they might splash out on a number 9 and take Wilson as a No2/3 choice striker.

Hes been ineffectual, its true, but there were signs in his last outing that hes shaken off some of the cobwebs. Looking forward to seeing what happens next time hes on the pitch.

yeah, it was clear that on his day he gets goals. Sadly 'his day' is like a Cumbrian Summer. 3 days a year.

I genuinely respect the guy. One hell of a mentality and self-belief. A great pro. Sadly his body just isn't up to the task of being a reliable replacement for Isak when we need him.

Wilson needs to have a run in the team to get his eye in. We need a play to come in as and when and hit the ground running.

    Sadly he's not that man.

I wish he was, it would save us a fortune and a lot of headache in the transfer market replacing him. Nothing would make me happier than to have assurances that Wilson will stay fit and available when we need him and he gets the goals need for us to remain competitive across the various competitions whilst keeping Isak fit and firing in the important matches.

However, the club simply can not take that risk!
