Teams we will now meet next season

As the season has a game to go, we now know more after today.

Should be interesting next season for us and Matt Hamshaw. Quite a few lengthy away games mileage wise.

Here's who we're up against already.......

    Cardiff
    Plymouth
    Donny
    Port Vale
    Bolton Wanderers
    Blackpool
    Huddersfield Town
    Lincoln City
    Barnsley
    Exeter City
    Stevenage
    Wigan Athletic
    Peterborough United
    Northampton Town
    Mansfield Town
    Burton Albion

Hopefully Bradford will make auto promotion and Grimsby will win the play offs. Walsall seem determined to throw promotion away so could see Bradford claiming the third spot. Grimsby might be a more difficult prospect but still doable. Add those two to Hudds, Barnsley and Donny and we have some decent local games. Chesterfield could still make the play offs but I'd prefer an away day at Cleethorpes (although maybe not in January!).

Will be nice to see Cardiff again after their ridiculous hatred towards us after blaming us for bad weather.

Exeter is worth a trip for a nice weekend away provided we get them at their place in summer.

We usually go to places with an overnight stop, so , hopefully Plymouth next season for the first time.

Jocks Plymouth have to overcome an out of reach goal difference even if they win their last game?.. trust me they are down already.

As a minimum they?d have to win their last game by 14 goals and hope Luton lose.
As if that wasn?t difficult enough they would have to do it against LEEDS and I don?t think they would be happy ending their promotion season with a 14 goal defeat, so as you say Brin, Plymouth are most definitely relegated.

Coming back to this, the fixtures this weekend are really tight for the 5 clubs trying to stave off relegation.

    Stoke - 50 - last 6 games DDWWLL
    Derby - 49 - LDDLWW
    Preston - 49 - DDLLLL
    Luton - 49 - DDLLDD
    Hull - 48 - WLDLWL

Looking at their current forms, you'd say Preston were the favourites for the drop, football has many a twist so let's look at the fixtures:

Derby v Stoke - Identical form of late but, I feel Derby will win this one. Will Stoke's 50 points be enough to keep them up? I think so.
Portsmouth v Hull - I feel the Tigers will somehow manage a draw and stay up by a solitary point.
West Brom v Luton - Proper scrappers Luton and always seem to pull a rabbit out of the hat when needed. A draw will see them safe.
Bristol City v Preston - City well in form so I don't expect anything for Preston from this. They will be relegated.

That's my view from the Championship point of view, what do you think?

Just noticed 3rd bottom to 5th place there's only 19 points different. Tough league with 20 well matched teams

Luton, Plymuff and Cardiff down from the championship.

Jesus, guaranteed 2 of them will be long long away trips midweek in the winter.

Nothing against ULL but would have been a local game.

Not so long ago that Luton were talking about making changes to their stand to accommodate Premiership coverage, now they get the delights of the New York Stadium
