Have you factored in the EPL income? I'm no expert, but i highly doubt we are in the red from a ?33m spend.
So far the Clarets have a total spend this summer of ?33.4m.
Burnley's total income from player sales so far this summer: ?0m.
Burnley total net profit/loss summer 2025: -?33.4m.
No doubt Trafford will be sacrificed to balance the books.![]()

With the recent transfers having been completed we are approximately 43.27 million in the red since ALK took over with more wheeling and dealing to come in the next few months.
My figures are based on player movements and nothing else. We spent a fortune when we went up last time and showed a deficit on player movement of 107.25 million.
We had actually spent almost 43 million in Kompany's first season, however, this was balanced by sales amounting to 76 million for players of the Dyche era.
I reckon Esteve and Trafford will be gone in this window to keep the BFC heads above water.Word has it Kompany wants Esteve as well as Palarse and Everton.
The pair could bring in ?60-70m.It would appear ALK bet the ranch on Kompany last time we went up.
If we are asset stripped before a ball is kicked then survival will be that more difficult.Cardy will be having deja-vu feelings also after the Bournemouth debacle.

Any other business north of Manchester with a turnover like ours?
Can't see the point in selling either Trafford or Esteve unless they demand a move.
Both players will more than likely have sell on clauses with previous clubs, meaning Burnley getting a small return
We would need to replace them both and this would probably soak up a large chunk of the profits, if not all
Brownhill is another who is touching 30 and never set the Premier league alight, although outstanding at championship level. I can't see anyone offering him silly money and that includes the likes of Everton, I will be expecting him to sign a new 4 year contract
