    Time to disband the trust

I cannt believe there is a single fan who still thinks the trust are a good idea (apart from those prawn sandwhich enjoyers on the board). Fan representation on the board sounds good on paper as you think it means the board has to listen to the fans but in reality it doesnt work that way. The fan reps just end up as any other board member with the same "confidentiallity agreements". It always ends up like the end of Animal Farm where they cant tell the difference between the pigs and the men.
So how do we get rid of it? Well if some fans who also want rid were to stand for election on the promise that as soon as they win they will ask all members to vote on if the trust should be disbanded or not then im sure it would go through. The majority of members joined to vote to dilute for the piataks so they can be counted on to dilute them totally away this time.
Just hand the trust shares over to the?? owners and say they would invest the equivilent value into the stadium (some new toilets would be a good tribute).

The Trust went wrong when they annexed the ‘Supporters Club’ title without discussion. They are trying to be two things and it doesn’t work; you can’t be in the directors’ box and claim that you’re also in the Paddock, it’s a conflict of interest. There needs to be an independent Supporters Club again, independent from the Trust and the Club, A bit like when the London Branch were formed and became an offshoot of the Carlisle based organisation. The Trust haven’t been fit for purpose for many years.

Mr Boom, I am now in agreement that disbanding it is the way to go. It?s sad because I?m a believer a strong trust is good for a football club but ours doesn?t work as it soon becomes a one thinking organisation and fails.

griff I agree with you on the need for an independant supporters club being needed. Were i dont agree is that you seem to think the trust still has a role if such a split up was made. They are there to represent fans on the board but with only 10% steak they can easily be ignored and anyway if they want to know the fans views all they need to do is log on to a messageboard rather than have them filtered through the trust. They are also there to give information back to fans but so often they say they cant due to confidentiality agreements. So pointless either way you look at it with the added bonus that they are a stumbling block to new owners coming in

Mullen can you see any way to get the trust disbanded other than what I am suggest. This is why you should stand for the board yourself

    No

All I can see now is the trust declining in numbers and the current trust board getting voted back on as the trust membership will be mainly their mates and Magellan workers, it would need another Unita movement, a truthful one, to make change and there isn?t interest.

And again no, I?m not standing Mr Boom. I stood was last but was I right yes I was, trust turned out exactly how I said it would and sadly contributed to the non league disaster.

However Mr Boom if you wish to stand on the mandate of disbanding the trust why you don?t you go for it? Move in front of the sofa and make yourself known and stand yourself. There?s no stipulation you have to even be in the UK never mind Carlisle 😉

Now now mullen I hope you are not hinting that I am the non-UK resident Piglet. Cos at even the slightest hint of him starts at alarm in YOU KNOW WHOs house and he comes here and bans everyone (please allow a joke griff)
I live in Dalston which last time I checked was still in the UK.

Back to the trust. I think maybe 4 or 5 fans would have to stand together as a kind of "disband party" then all get on the board together and submit the disbanding motion. As I have said before it is a shame that you wont stand as you are a high profile fan following media appearances and forum questions over the years. Also you have had your stance for a long time and have since been proved right. Dont let a defeat put you down - Farage tok ages to get to be a MP and now he is bookies favourite to become the next PM. He wouldve been 1000/1 only a few years ago. And maybe even Griff could stand do with his added authority of one of the forum mods

I wasn?t hinting Mr Boom, I was saying anyone, even pig if he wanted too as he also wants the trust to disband, could stand on that mandate and it doesn?t matter where you?re located.

If you stand wanting the trust to disband I?ll rejoin and you?ll have my vote.
