    Hitting the ground running

I see the owners are penning letters to the fans of their newly acquired Glasgow club. Surely they should be getting deals over the line south of the border.

One would have thought Solomon would be done by now and McAtee if they want to make a statement of intent.

We seem to be dawdling not running

Signings only happen quickly when you are willing to overpay.

The curious thing about transfers is that despite the enormous amount of money spent on them, many simply just do not work out.
Facts state the success rate is roughly 50% which means new recruits are as likely to fail as they are to succeed.

DF wants our playing style to be about movement, rotation, concentration & now more improvisation which are the cornerstones of his footballing philosophy.
He knows that for PL success 'movement' is in order to create opportunities, end of, aptly displayed by PSG while destroying Milan in CL final.

The stats say that our 24/25 Championship subs had more goal involvements than at any other club but I suspect that is because we often have players like Gnonto & Ramazani on the bench who would walk into every other team in the Championship.
So a decent upgraded bench with 'movement' options will be needed by players that can integrate into the DF team ethic strict requirements which may not appeal to some alleged targets, for sure.

Can see why Bielsa extensively used scientific A1 for definitive detailed info about all players including DEXA scans to measure lean mass, fat mass & bone mass, ensuring that players are physically fit, right down to his emphasis of protein rich diets adjusted with carbohydrate intake before matches - not all players want to adjust to some coaches regimes particularly with the distractions of off field activities nowadays.

So lots to think about before a move to Leeds.

Not true Brentford secured Kelleher for under the alleged asking price on day 1 of the window.

If you are organised and planned it can be done. The later you wait and the more desperate you appear again the more the price can go up and you end up chasing your tail. Sound familiar from seasons past?

Brentford needed a keeper quickly so we shall see, H, as goalkeeper prospects have to deal with lots during their learning curve.

I note Kellehers time at Liverpool began in the summer of 2015 when he joined from Ringmahon Rangers based in Cork, Ireland, where he was born & raised.

After a decade at Liverpool Kelleher only has 25 senior appearances to show for it.
So with 11% of appearances from a possible 228 at Liverpool, the one component of his game to let him down will be the lack of exploitation of the game at a high level.

Paired with the fact that Brentford claimed the second most blocks in the PL league in the most recent campaign shows that Kelleher will be tested a lot if Frank does not bolster his defence this summer.

So we shall see his development under the 24/7 critical eyes of PL football pundits & fans weekly comments.

Still think experience via age is what we require & that includes the ups & downs gained from playing many matches under pressure situations at top level week in, imo.

Regarding the joys of goalkeeping life I was recently shown the latest freebee Uhlsport Prediction Ultragrip HN gloves costing around 128 UK pounds/175 US dollars a pair.

So many gizmos for finger protection for goalie gloves too nowadays.

Food for thought particularly protection safety wise nowadays, 'tho they all do affect the keepers 'feel of the ball' particularly around the finger tips - but better than suffering injuries.

A dorsal dislocation of the little finger occurs quite frequently when the finger joint is forced out of its normal position & fractures may need temporary screws inserted to assist healing process too.

I actually specifically wear neoprene gloves for protection when surfing primarily from the cold but also to improve grip & prevent abrasions which are great if you scrape against rocks but obviously not so great upon impacts. 😖

For any budding collectors of keepers gloves then most pros endorsed keeper match worn gloves will have genuine player names stamped tabs on them to vindicate authenticity if you wanna start collecting 'em. 👍

I would think everyone in Farkes position would have had targets for if we went up or stayed down. That's standard, normal planning.
We went up. Those targets ought to be in asap so we can put together a well drilled team and a way of playing. It's still quite early but we never seem to sort things and subsequently make it difficult for ourselves.
We need 4 or 5 quality additions that should enhance the quality we have and fit in. Standard research would have observed all that.
Signing unheard of players from lesser leagues and clubs because they are cheap cannot be the way we go again.

Really hope we focus on a striker, left back and center mid as well as signing Solomon and Rothwell.

Darlow is an excellent chip we have to get the right keeper. If we don't then he's the man.

I have a fair few of those, although (thankfully!) I'm nowhere near as obsessive as I am with shirts,

Don't get me started on player boots though - many have multiple additions, ranging from national flags, to their names, to pets/parents/girlfriend's names as well as the obligatory squad number wither embroidered or marked in pen to the heel or sole.

I thought you?d have had a smiley badge logo on the tongues, a USA flag on one sole and a GB flag on the other and a motivational OrgsFTW message on the heel. 😎
