    Eventful Saturday morning

Had to go to Sandwell hospital morning for my ist Lidocaine infusion , for pain management.
After discussing my meds and telling them my angina spray was in my pocket ,good job I did .
They put the catheter in my hand ,the injected lidocaine . They told I could feel dizzy, drowsy and lips tingling.
Then the started the infusion, after about five minutes my body went into shock ,my hole body was shaking .
Luckily the patient opposite me shouted for the doctor .
Everyone coming running ,although i couldn't see my eyes had rolled back .
Managed to tell them my chest was getting tighter ,doctor told the nurse get his angina spray and to another nurse get the crash trolley .
They got me on the bed from the chair, put me on oxygen and injected me with something .
After 20 minutes I was aware and started to came down .
They then said that they had aborted the infusion.
Lucky escape ,when I heard crash trolley thought my time was up .

Thanks Stargazer ,I was groggy yesterday with a bad headache and kept dropping things .
But I've had a good day today, still in pain but that's normal for me .

Only popped on here for a quick glance before retiring to the land of nod and then I read this. Goodness Soulman, that must have been horrifying. I am glad to hear you are on the mend and had a better day today. Such a good thing you said where your medication was.

    Rest and take care.

Eventful? Must have been bloody terrifying! So glad to hear you are ok and beginning to feel better. Like others, I thought it a bit strange that you hadn't posted on here given all the transfer stuff but presumed you'd maybe gone away for a few days. Good job you remembered about your angina spray!

As OB says, important now to rest up and take care. All the very best Soulman-and to your better half and family too as they must have been worried sick going through that as well.

Good to hear you are recovering Soulman. I hope the pain management for you improves soon. You shouldn't be living in constant pain in this day and age. G-d bless.
