    What's with all the defenders?

Is Farke's plan to avoid relegation to play 8 at the back?

Whilst new signings are obviously welcome, it would be good to see a midfielder or striker coming in.

Maybe he?s following Scott Parker?s theme at Burnley, don?t let any goals in, cant lose, also why are Sunderland taking all the signings we go for, maybe we should try a bluff by saying we?re offering meslier a contract and then they suddenly sign him?.job done.

So far we have signed 2 defenders and a striker (Lukas Nmeka). From what i am reading, 49ers and Farke are trying hard to find replacement for Firpo at left back. I think there will be 2 - 3 more signings but I think that will be all.

Gudmondesson now signed as our left back, seems a good signing, defence sorted it seems, creative midfielder and striker to go.

Any time we have misslier in goal, we will need all the defenders we have.

Looks like Farke is going to go with Ampadu, Tanaka and Gruev in defensive midfield. Rothwell has joined Rangers. I don't know about this. I think Farke is going to try to get a number 10 and a goalkeeper.

As I wrote earlier, we did get Lukas Nmeka who is a striker from Wolfsburg. Scored a lot of goals in the Belgian League. Not so much in the Bundesliga, but he is a tall strong, young, striker.
