For me I thought Ipswich, Southampton and Leicester would have been doing better.
I still think Ipswich will win the league. Teams to watch are still Coventry and Bristol City.
With Griffiths in goal and no one to put the ball in the net our aim should be play offs.
My top three
Ipswich
Southampton
Coventry
Any thoughts?
We are work in progress so anywhere in the top 10 would be good, having said that let?s see what the January window brings
This could be the season where the teams coming down don't dominate the league. All three haven't looked great when I've been watching them and Leicester are supposed to be getting a points deduction too.
So with that in mind it could open the door to a surprise team or two being in the automatic places at the end of the season. Bristol City have impressed me. Coventry maybe. Middlesboro, maybe even us. Its very open.
Having said that, I'd be delighted with a play off place if it was offered now.
Sadly….I think Sjoke are in contention.
Very much early days, but pretty much my own thoughts too.
Boro will be a tough one and it will be interesting to see Mason's starting selection, although in all honesty I don't anticipate too many changes if any. Depending on how the game progresses, I do, however, think we may see earlier substitutions. A point would be a good result, all three an excellent one.
It is a funny old league. Other than Sheffield Wednesday, there are no easy fixtures and any side could go on a run. Theres an obvious set of teams most likely to finish top half; where in that top half is tricky to predict.
For me Coventry, Boro and Ipswich will be the top three. Leicester will be in the mix once they sort themselves out but might miss out with a points deduction. Coventry top I think. Despite not winning every game they seem to be dominating every time they play.
The quality has gotten a lot better in the league. Not the top 2-3 sides, but the overall league. Sides like Swansea, Preston and Pomey have improved a lot. QPR and Watford look either dangerous or disastrous - top half attacking talent at both sides thought.
Still has had a poor start with Southampton and the fans seem to think his football is dire so that might be a poor fit but they have a lot of quality.
It will be interesting to see whether Sheffield United can turn things around now Chris Wilder has returned to the future. His blades managerial trilogy awaits.
