    Manchester Incident

After the after shocking and appalling incident in Manchester it now comes to light the attacker Jihad not only came on a boat but was also on bail for rape. Unbelievable!

Whilst we are a democratic country ( or we were ) all pro Palestine demonstrations should be banned for this weekend. The Police resources ( yet again ) should not be diverted whilst extra protection is necessary at synagogues.

Predictable that Sad Khan sees nothing wrong with the protests going ahead in London.

Sadiq Khan is a practicing Muslim and, in my opinion, this leads to a conflict of interests. Of course these pro-Palestinian demonstrations should not take place today given what has occurred in Manchester, As you say Al, police resources are stretched as it is.

In these worryingly partisan and divisive times, I think it is also worth pointing out that very many Jews are against the ultra right Zionism of Netanyahu and what he is doing in both Gaza and the West Bank, just as very many Muslims are against Islamic extremism and the terrorism of Hamas. This viewpoint, of course, does not sell papers or attract click bait but interviews with the Muslim neighbours of the Jewish victims of this attack in Manchester show that they too are appalled by it.

Of course Al makes a very valid point that some of the perpetrators of such attacks have been found to have originally come into the country illegally by boat but this is not about the boat people per se. Regardless of the obvious issues around illegal immigration such as cost to the public purse or the extra strain they put on already broken services, they are not all rapists, criminals or Islamic extremists as some might have us believe. Most simply want to make a better life for themselves and contribute. It is rather about far better vetting of those who are subsequently permitted to stay here and certainly those with criminal records or extremist views that incite hatred or violence should be ejected.

Such acts have been found in the past to have been committed by British born Muslims who have been radicalized here. It is not simply about blaming the boat people for everything, it is about dealing far better with the spreading of hatred of any stripe, regardless of religion or colour.

As for the planned Pro-Palestinian protest, I too believe that any protests at this time should not take place as a mark of respect. Both Jewish and Muslim communities in this country have experienced at times prolonged periods of anti-Semitism and Islamophobia respectively. Surely it is better to work at finding common ground to unite people rather than actively encourage divisions? By all means call out the heinous actions of Hamas of October 7th or the near effective genocide of Netanyahu's response in Gaza but, as the old saying goes, two wrongs don't make a right.

400 arrests today in London and then Labour MP?s wonder why there?s antisemitism! Shocking how this even went ahead after the awful incident in Manchester and it should have been banned.

None of these flag waving crack pots care about the genocide in places like Sudan and Burma so why?s that?

    It's all too too late

Historians will be shocked to record how Western Europe threw away its values , its way of life and not only allowed an invasion of totally contrary values but paid for its own destruction .
