    January

Just a thought that if we are serious about having a go at staying in the league we’re going to spend money in January

    Foster AFCON
    Hannibal - AFCON or banned
    Tuanzebe - AFCON

    Key fixtures

Interestingly Sunderland have 7 players down to go to AFCON.

Of the three only the loss of Tuanzebe will concern Parker.

He wants to play Broja and he doesn't trust Hannibal.

Sargant is back on the radar and according to sources he wants a move but the Irons are also lurking.

I like him Bt but he’s un proven premier league - his link
Up play is good but how will we service him - Parker plays the wrong players - we are slow and laboured in build up and teams sus that quickly and squeeze the space we drop further back and end up playing most of the games in our final third.

We need to change personnel and tactic to affect games but I have a feeling Parker won’t do that

It’s strange that we had Dyche who was rigid in formation and the ball up to the big man was our way out - and our defending was the starting of everything - stop balls coming in win everything if they do manage to get it in our box.

VK who was obsessed with forward play and moved the team quickly and efficiently forwards the whole time - however he let opposing teams deliver ball into our box from anywhere mostly un opposed and the end results were we got hammered week in week out.

And now we have Parker where he got us promoted really on least goals conceded - defensively solid and an odd goal thrown in to win us games - we are in the big boys league now and that isn’t going to work - when you get a chance in a game you HAVE to take it as the opposition will when the get theirs.

I suppose all managers have flaws ours doesn’t seem to see what we see and our identity is neither here nor there - we concede too easily and we don’t score goals ( or look like scoring ) and yet every week we pick the same players even if they’re not delivering results.

Which brings me back to Parker if he’s happy with how we played and accepts defeats to the top 6-8 because as he says they’re better than us full of quality and just better all round

When will we see us play the better players who offer more offensively and just have a go

The championship season seems a long way away but if he keeps this up he’ll be back there before you know it.
