See he has just made an offer of 20 mill to buy Sheffield Wed. They should look at his history with us then run like furk.

    I actually disagree.

I hate the guy but for Sheff Weds, he's probably exactly what they need.

He'll spend money to stabilise them and get them where they can generate advertising for SD and that is what they need. Stability.

Buys them that cheap and then he can sell for massive profit in a few years if he does all above.

Yes I realise an injection of money may help them immediately but I just can't get the memory of how badly the **** screwed us and I'm sure his modus operandi wont change with Sheffield Wed.

If he was the only option, you'd have to say 'take it'....but he will absolutely fuck them over.

They will be stabilized but then have years and years of misery, most likely.

I think I'd rather start over than have him come in if I were a Sheff Wed fan.

Best bet over the long run would be to go into liquidation and restart with a consortium of local businesses.

It would be hard going through the initial stages but local ownership would attract local support and it is that and only that which will get them eventually back on their feet.

They would very soon regret a greedy thug like Ashley making a rescue bid then draining the very life out of then again as soon as they were back on their feet.

It's probably a good fit. He's not premier class owner ready in terms of high investment to stay the pace but for a struggling club like Sheff wed he'll certainly make the club stable.

When the aim is survival and just to get a team out to play every week then Ashley is a good option. Once any form of ambition appears by the club and supporters then he clearly isnt. If hes buying it cheap then hell sell up before that point because unlike successful clubs owners hes only in it for the money and for zero football reasons.
Hopefully all parties come out satisfied when he sells up.
