Indeed !
I haven’t read that information, but sadly am not surprised.
Whilst Boycott is not everyone’s cup of tea (I was born in Yorkshire) his dedication is undoubted. If he had played as badly, his 4 days off would be spent in the nets !

Be a total failure and embarrassment at your job but be rewarded with a 4 day golfing holiday.
Step forward the joke of the England cricket team, at least they all be in double figures
Disgraceful

A second 8 wicket defeat is an embarrassment.
I did read England had spent extra days training in the nets prior to the second test. Well it clearly did not help.
I did listen to some pundit on day two f the second test, an ex player I believe, who said that practicing in the nets was of little value as you can’t record runs extra. A bit over my head as regards cricket to be fair so I don’t know. The other pundits did not challenged him.
The Australians are clearly up for it. They are so superior in every part of the game, batting, bowling and fielding. We are looking a shambles and I can’t see it changing for the next three tests.
Of course, I will try and look on the bright side. You never know.![]()
Interesting comments regarding net practice OB buddy. I did play a decent amount of cricket (back in the day !) and remember as a schoolboy being “selected” to go to the nets as Edgbaston so they could have a look at me !!
I just think that such a training/practice regime demonstrates both dedication and commitment and would certainly go towards winning over many followers.
Our younger son lives in Melbourne (moved there 2008) and our 2 Aussie grandchildren are loving our cricketing demise![]()
