You guessed wrong. To everyone's amazement, not least my own, I managed to pass the 11 plus exam in 1965 so my secondary education took place at the newly opened Annie Holgate Technical Grammar school in Hucknall. The clever kids took O levels, those deemed less bright (me) took the CSE exam. I think I was more lazy than dim, something that I carried into my working life for a few years. Suddenly it dawned on me that if you have to spend a week at work, you might as well get as much cash as possible so I put in a bit more effort and moved up the ranks. I put in the hours and did ok in the end. That's why I laugh at the brainless Soccerman stereotype of all labour voters being workshy benefit scroungers. I have always voted labour, but for 40 years I worked hard and never claimed a penny in benefits, and have cash to spare these days entirely due to my hard work. I have never compromised my left of centre principles even though now I may be a bit better off under a Tory government. If Corbyn does what he says and addresses the inequality in this country I will happily give up a bit of my wealth as long as it goes to the right people.

I agree with your post, but I don't think you're correct about that bit because the Tories are utterly incompetent at managing the economy. I doubt if anyone but the top 1% is actually better off under them. It's not a sacrifice to vote Labour, you would have to be stupid not to. Luckily for them, many people are.

Nice posts, Elite & Bo; sentiments I can agree with. I too am reasonably happy with what I've achieved financially and would probably be worse off under Labour if it chooses to redistribute wealth on a fairer basis. Unlike the Tory tw*ts on here, I vote for the many not the few (i.e. self).
People like Serious would be nothing without the welfare state brought in by Labour. They show their gratitude by slagging off the young who this government has done nothing for because nobody did it like the old gitts did it (in their myopic eyes)

I can understand why millions of people won't or cannot vote Labour under this present regime. You call them stupid if they don't but it's the people who actually believe that Corbyn can deliver the ridiculous promises in his manifesto who must be stupid imo.
Me personally have voted for both Labour and Conservative over the years but now I wouldn't know who to vote for.
We have a weak government who don't seem to know what they are doing. Then we have a Marxist Labour Party who are being controlled by McCluskey and his ilk who will bankrupt the country and then their are the Liberal wets what a great choice.

I can agree with you on that one, all down to Tony Bliar, it all changed with him.

Where is a "Beast of Bolsover" when you need one, or in this present Labour Party's case a dozen or more. They are very far from being electable & will be for years to come, full of dole scroungers of the BFP ilk, dykes, queers, cross dressers, ponces,& scruffs.

Go away little man of no consequence, your language is slipping again. You would have us believe you're a professional writer - well we'll leave that for this board to debate.

You do talk utter drivel at times Sidney (well most of the time to be honest) but I suppose there will always be the 'No Hopers' and 'Never Will Be's' of this world who will buy into your doctrine of envy.

Why bring in the Welfare State and say certain people would be nothing without it. I can't see you reasoning old chap as everybody as far as I know is entitled to the Welfare State and of course it was brought in by Labour, I'm not criticising that. You are utterly laughable in your small minded views and as you know, I view you and your ilk as nothing more than an insignificant irrelevance.

That I am a professional writer is beyond dispute. In fact I'm about to do my annual tax return based on it. Whether or not what I write has substance is a matter of opinion.
What a sad sour old man you are, pouring out your venom and personally abusing without any substance. So much for your improved manners. You are clearly someone who lives in a manic-depressive state. I have little confidence that when the Mueller report resuts in Trump's impeachment you will cough up £20 for poor Tanzanian children, the charity of my choice.

Have you never tried cross dressing?? I'm surprised, some silky soft ladies underwear would make that rough old Nazi uniform you no doubt parade around in feel much more comfortable.
