    Tyler Roberts...

...21 year old Welsh winger from Leeds the latest to be linked with us, again according to the DT, now that their Polish rumour has proved unfounded.

RA he's a top class player ,not sure where the winger comes from . Always played down the middle when I've seen him Hard to imaging Leeds selling him especially to us unless Mel's Champaign worked in them Would love it to happen He's got the pace and still we need

Don’t think I’ve ever seen him, mista. DT describes him as a winger or attacking midfielder.

Suppose he might be surplus to requirements now Leeds have started spending megabucks. Probably just another DT rumour.

Like Mista only seen him play down the middle, always looked quick but isn't he injury prone though?

That would be preferable, its OK signing youngsters but they are a gamble. Need two or three experienced but under age 30 players

Asked about Tyler on the DYS board. Two replies thus far.

One said "All Bielsa trained players can pass, have good movement off the ball and can track back to defend. If you can't do these 3 things you don't get to play in a Bielsa team. Roberts does these 3 things reasonably well. He can put the ball in the net pretty well if he doesn't think too much about placing it. He can play as striker or no.10."

The other wrote "He is a real prospect but a little injury prone which has hampered his progress. He has a good first touch, can run with the ball and can score goals.

Has tended to play in the 10 role for us but when he has played up front has looked decent. With a run of games think he will do well for you and has potential to get 15 to 20 goals if he is the regular starter.

Seems to be popular in the dressing room too and doesn’t do or say stupid things."

Where would we play him then? #9 or #10? My preference would be to let Sibley play and have Roberts play at #9 in that case. That then begs the question, what do we do with Jack n Waggy? Which leads to the follow up question of "if we aren't going to play him wide, do we really need him?
