Biggest worry for me is with 10 players leaving at end of last season there doesnt seem to have been a shortlist of at least 10 replacements ready to come in, ok we can say there will be 2 or3 loan deals before end of August but we should try and get away from this short term fix situation and get players in on at least a two season deal.
Seems to be a tightening of the pursestrings and this to me doesnt look to good for the future years of our club.
It's why we will always be a back waters club, content with mediocrity. Any other season then fair enough but aren't we supposed to try and get better? Perhaps a blessing in disguise though.
Thats the worry for a lot of us, a club that will slowly slip down the table year after year, is Milne going to be happy with 3rd behind the scum? Of course he is, he will spout the usual ****e about budgets etc and say we are in our proper place.
5 years from now we will be back fighting for a Europa League place and maybe hoping for the odd semifinal so we can get a trip to Hampden.
A proper run club would never allow for 10 players to be leaving at the end of the same season, we were all led to believe that last season was the "transitional season" where there would be a lot of rebuilding of the squad, seems to me its a bigger job for the season thats nearly upon us.
It’s almost as though Derek is just spouting garbage when he claims to work 2 windows in advance
