    Mick's Burgers

A car ploughed into a Mick’s Burger van on Portsdown Hill Friday afternoon around 2.30pm.

It is believed that the driver a man got into the blue Vauxhall Vectra and hit motorbike and then ploughed into the serving hatch of the popular fast food van.

Shocked onlookers said that it all happened very quickly. They explained that the man started the automatic car and as he started the car up, it was in gear and it took off like a rocket. An ambulance was called to check over the driver of the vehicle and the motorcyclist who are believed to have escaped injury.

Mick’s Burger van sustained damage to the side of the trailer and has closed for business whilst urgent repairs are made to the gas supply. Mick has advised the he is hoping to restore service as soon as possible.

Boarhunt meanwhile took the Vectra away.

    IT WASN'T ME FFS !!!

It is working just Phil but after the Vectra shifted the not inconsiderable van a couple of inches, the insurance estimate is around £20k I am reliably told. Luckily no one was badly hurt, or even worse. I shall keep a wary eye out next time I am in the queue up there.
