    AFC Wimbledon Post Match Thoughts

Popped off for a few minutes when we equalised fully expecting to push on for the win only to see a 3-1 reversal. With 8 draws tonight no real harm done. Thoughts?

I thought Wood was too slow to use in away games, with perhaps pacy forwards going at him, then he scores a goal for the Millers & gets in the division 1 team of the week, but tonight he was the culprit for their third goal, be better playing Ajayi & putting Wood on the bench on the away games.

Bonus tonight for Wimbledon supporters, they paid only £10 for one part of the ground, under 18's paid a £1, with vouchers they got, plus a good home win.

Warne & co to work on defensive mistakes for Saturday.

Same old defensive frailties coming back again. When our attack doesn't do the job, we can always rely on the defence to throw a couple of chances in......and we did, and they took them. Does this mean Ajayi is back in now? He was dropped for a couple of mistakes, but i think he's always liable to give a chance away. Anyway, onwards to Oxford...................UTM

I think this also proves that there's nothing easy in this division and we should stay level headed and accept it, worrying defensive mistakes but we know that's kind of us at the moment isn't it? at home we're rolling teams over, different gravy away....trust the fitness coach folks, he'll get it right.

Shame that - goes without saying of course that if we defend like that at Oxford we may get mullered. Suspect some changes may be made. More disappointing when experienced players muck up - you expect it from younger players learning the game on occasion. One day, we will have a decent, reliable defence and still better than last year. No easy games in this league, ask Blackburn tonight

    Just on way back.

It’s not just the defence the midfield let runners just saunter past them tonight which put us under pressure. At times we had to foul them to stop the attacks.
Poor game against a poor team we had more shots than them I think from memory.
Not gonna slate players by name it happens.

    Mom the travelling die hard.
    On to Oxford

As one of the 'men of the match' safe journey back to you and your fellow travellers - sounds like they've done to us what we do to sides at NYS i.e. press high and seek to overrun the opposition?

As soon as I heard the team news I had 2nd thoughts on my pre-match score prediction.
Lyle Taylor & Liam Trotter in their side. Two players with something to prove.
Taylors not scored for 21 games,
Could he score against us ? Yup aided & abetted by poor defending once again.
Give credit to AFC they chased everything, closing us down & us resorting to long ball to Kieffer Moore.
As poor a 1st half I've seen, a long way down & a long way back.....£50 out of pocket as well.

Footnote : almost certain I saw Mick McCarthy there last night.
