Didn't even know that we had a bid accepted for him but now we just have to leave that 1 now and start turning our attention to somebody else. Be interesting to know what the other 4 strikers were looking at, ill guess at Adam Le Fondre, Paddy Madden, Caolan Lavery and Max Clayton but i could be miles off. Theres another striker im hoping we consider as well and thats Adam Rooney of Aberdeen, 45 goals in 77 appearances in a very good ratio in any league.

    Joe Garner

Still possible that the Gregory deal could happen particularly if the player and his representatives are making waves.

Really hope we don't pay 1.5 million for this lad. Not worth anywhere near that kind of money. Played at this level before and his goals to games was no better if not worse than Matt Derbyshire.

Matt Derbyshire, a player we signed when he was the same age as Gregory is now and we paid nothing for him.

If we really are prepared to pay a fee of 1.5M and pay the player wages that a player signing for that kind of fee would want, then there are better players than Gregory out there.

STOP! Take a moment to reflect on what has happened with this deal....

Our club put in three bids for Gregory and all were refused.... Stubbs rightly so informed TA that the lad wasn't worth anymore and we walked away..,

Where is Gregory going now? Who else has come in for him? No one...,

What you have now is the classic agent spin banding it about what we offered and were refused ....desperate times of an agent wanting a cut if you ask me...,

Gregory has 1 season left on his contract and he walks away for free which is a smack in greedy Millwalls face...,

IF and I mean IF there was any revisiting to this deal Stubbs should start back at 1 million no more.... Afterall who else wants Gregory at the moment?

TS said yesterday on Sheffield that 'he doesn't do business like that', he said we had a bid accepted 2 weeks ago and were ready to pay close to 1.5 million. Then Millwall got more interest and the deal was off. I don't think TS will now pay more than was agreed.

I agree with Brin. Go back to Millwall, tell them he'll be gone either now, Jan' for less or next summer for nothing. Offer a Million, no more. Personally think at a Million he'd be a good buy.
