    Sheff Utd v Crewe *****CUP MATCH PREDICTIONS*****

    Judging by SD saying about some changes, I'd be intrigued to what the changes would be made. Still think Utd will have too much for us and a 3-1 defeat.

    The Blades will undoubtedly do the same as us and 'ring the changes', but there seems to be a positive attitude running through our squad with a bit more fight and ambition than previous years.
    Stick my neck out - Sheffield United 1 - Crewe Alexandra 2.

    Well the Blades have lost Che Adams for a fee in the region of £2m to Birmingham not a bad bit of business.

    Sheff Utd 3 Crewe 1 - close match with a late Utd goal making the result less representative of the match.

    90 minutes 1 -1 . Lose on penalties after extra time.

    "Watching" the game on my laptop on my way home from work - great result and great credit for the fight back. Lowe will prove to be one of SD's most astute signings. A fitting example as captain. Happy to praise SD and very pleased with the team spirit - not being overawed and defeating the favourite for promotion from League One to the Championship. Victory should really boost the confidence of the squad. Boosted my morale after the RMT strike doubled the time it took me to get home.

    well... do TWO swallows make a summer?

    Surely somebody went last night. Tell us all about it:
    the game;
    the defence;
    the individual players;
    the atmosphere.
    Come on! Someone give us the opportunity to keep the excitement going!!!!!

    Could have been 4 down after twenty minutes. Bad blades finishing and superb, brave Ben kept us in the game. For the 90 mins Dagnell very quiet, Saunders likewise. Both got nowhere up against big experienced defenders. First half Cooper was the star but he faded. Jones and Ben best players on the park. Lowe made such a difference. Intelligent runs and great possession. Kirk far too lightweight. Chelsea lad superb when he came on. Such technique. Extra time Dagnell superb. Was he saving himself? All over the park. The team that finished looked the real deal. A great team performance. Should have been beaten, they didn't take chances, and allowed us into the game.

    I agree. They will watch the dvd of the game and wonder how they didn't score 5 in normal time. That needs to be addressed or will be exposed eventually. A win though is a win
