    Player ratings V Barnsley

Firstly.. Well played Barnsley.. Did a job on us. Little Angry even smiled when they got their second as it was an old team mate of his who scored. Well done Alfie.

Carson 6 - Did not command his area as he normally does. Unlucky with the first goal.
Christie 6 - Huffed and puffed, got forward well but how many times did he waste the final ball. Still probably our best player on the day.
Keogh 6 - Some misplaced passes again. Nothing special.
Shackell 5 - Is he told to play long balls into channels? I hope he is otherwise he would have got a 1.
Fozzy 4 - Poor but probably put in too soon.
Bryson 4 - Poor decisions all day. Poor shooting.. Just poor.
Hendrick 5 - Unlucky with the injury.
Blackman 5 - Did he do anything?
Ince 6 - Huffed and puffed but little went for him.
Butterfield 5 - Had not impact wide.
    Bent 2 - WTF

Hughes 5- Poorest I have ever seen him. Chin up Will.
Russell 6 - Atleat he made Barnsley think.

Management 0 - Words fail me.

Hey up Angry, your sounding very angry at the moment after reading that opening post
Alfie is meant to be on his way soon but it was nice to see him pop up with the goal early in the second half. I think our captain Connor Hourihane was ace for us today and the only thing missing from his game was a goal.

My son was quite impressed by Barnsley in that they showed great organisation, commitment and had a clear tactical aim whilst commenting that you were playing a load of the proverbial!!

Alfie's goal certainly killed us off. Could not have come at a better time for you.
Did not realise he was going to move on.. Seemed a nice lad.

Pretty generous imo Angry. About as bad as it gets today. I just no longer know what Blackman is for and you missed Martin out who was no better.
Did anyone else think Keogh and Shackell spent most of the second half squabbling? Didn't look good to me.
Barnsley might not have any big names and I've never heard of their manager but they have a togetherness and team ethos that our bunch can't even aspire to at the moment.
Some Derby fans in the concourse before the game should be ashamed of themselves today. Phuck wits would be far too flattering a description.

Doh, yep missed Martin but agree. Said on another thread that when he came on he did no better than Bent.
What happened in the concourse? I remember some singing and high spirits but nothing ott.
The lad who got ejected in the first half was on a mission though.

Nothing that spectacular in the cold light of day perhaps Angry. Derby fans repeatedly slamming and kicking the big steel door by the bar, chucking beer around, saw a bloke - probably in his mid sixties and just minding his own business - hit in the small of the back by a full bottle of beer that had been thrown 'cartwheeling' through the air from about twenty yards away. No great harm done but could have been. Just ****** me off, moronic really and not what I go to matches for but not so serious I suppose. The 'tribe' mentality just seems to bring out the worst in the idiot element at away matches, nothing new there.

I'd be angry if someone chucked a beer at me no doubt.. To be honest it's always been like that, even way back.
We just went and sat in the stand. Nice sunny day (for a while)..

My old dad once went to a RangersvCeltic match and said it was 'raining' EMPTY' whiskey bottles which was somewhat frightening!! When he arrived at the ground he said that he found it strange that people were taking brolleys into the ground on a hot September day!! Around half time when suddenly a volley of bottles began he understood. This was just after the war when he worked up there, surprisingly he never went again
