    Ricky Burns

Just watched the fight from the other night without knowing the outcome, great fight and thought Burns just edged it to retain his title, pleased to see him having more success and hopefully will go on and take on the yank best and do us proud again.

I worked with his uncle a few years ago and he never stopped going on about Ricky and how level headed, down to earth and decent young lad he was, really nice family that is great to see doing well.

    Well done Ricky Burns.

    Good words down under.
Also nice to hear Burns is a good lad. It's also good for our we country to have a boxer like him promoting it.
I wish the lad more success..

Boxing is barbaric and there has to be a way of making it safer. I get the fact that it does a lot of good for youngsters teaching them disapline etc but for two men (or women) to get in a ring and punch phuck out of each other just doesn't seem right. And worse than that is cage fighting. Now that is barbaric and should be banned

MMA Mixed Martial Arts is the fastest growing sport in the world it's also the most technical sport anywhere
These guys train much harder and much longer than any other sport .
The referees are also expertly trained their diets are also well controlled some of the best fighters are even Vegan/veggie because of the
animal cruelty involved with eating meat. Most of them are even good friends before and after fights.
MMA sell out world wide within hours of the ticket sales.
For me there's no sport like it the technical abilities of these fighters just amaze me.

IT doesn't make it right though. I find it barbaric as do many people.
I certainly do not enjoy watching it but I understand that a lot of people do. Each to their own and I will take back that I said it should banned

Ok if you think that's barbaric what do you think about nuclear weapons in Scotland with the ability to kill up to 320 million people and let's not forget the 5 category B incidents with them ..plus the cost of around £215 billion to replace .
Now that is truly barbaric if people were to sit back and think that if one goes off and hits a country killing mostly innocent woman children dying in very sad sad circumstances whom indeed have done nothing wrong apart from living life in a normal waywhat makes that right .
Now I'm not in any way trying to be argumentative just trying to get an opinion as opinions are always good.

wtf Buc, from boxing/cage fighting to nuclear weapons. Where did that come from ?
My opinion on them is I'm glad the uk has them. Do I like them, no I don't but I believe we need them.
Back to cage fighting. Do you really enjoy watching it ?
