A lot of fans including myself have asked the question, " Why there is no one in the boardroom with any football knowledge ", big mistakes have been made with the number of managers we have had this year, it looked like Kenny Jackett might have been a good manager for the Millers.
But what happens he does not get the promised resources, so thinks I'm out of here, who's to blame, one man in the frame is Paul Douglas, be it he does all the transfer dealings & holds the purse strings, he was bragging he off loaded Derbyshire saving the club wages, he & Stubbs were made for each other, in don't pay decent money for any players, the club lost out to Barnsley with the Bradshaw saga, then we had the Gregory saga & the Millers said to be offering over a million, lets get real if the club were not prepared to buy Bradshaw for well under a million quid, there was no chance of Gregory coming to the NYS.
I think there was 3 un-wise men at the NYS, Tony Stewart for letting Paul Douglas do the buying & contracts of players, then scrooge himself Paul Douglas wanting to pay peanuts for players, the third being Alan Stubbs buying & playing highland league players in the English championship.
We only have to look at Paul Douglas sanctioning of a 3 year contract for Blackstock, a player who is past his best playing days.
Tony Stewart is a business man, with out football knowledge, get rid of Paul Douglas & get someone into the club who knows the game.
