Double edged sword isn't it for Warne, he really is in a no win situation and i feel desperately sorry for the bloke at the moment, the team IS trying, that you can see plain as day, but the player's just arent good enough as a group.

A "Group" can be drilled into a system that makes them better than the individuals within that group !

Basic : All those pro's have everything we need to succeed !

Play together - in a disciplined shape / system and we could FUNCTION better than the individual team members pay grade lol.

Absolutely every mistake on a football pitch - and I mean every mistake is when a player makes the wrong decision -
and / or tries something beyond their capabilities.

That's why a good manager / coach can drill - drill - drill a mediocre team into a much better team.

OK - I have to say this but that was.... PLAN 'A' - With Stubbs - an experienced coach - and his very experienced team drilling the squad into a better fighting force ( on a budget )

I was the only fan who attended the Newcastle game at home ( I went to the away one too btw ) - and the home match was special ! We lost but we played well.

The away match was awful !

No - the players are good enough - the coaching / management isn't good enough !

The players were good enough against Newcastle at home - sadly the coach that motivated that performance was sacked but given time he would have reproduced that level of performance - and given money within this last window we'd be fine !

But without AS we lost Izzy and now we haven't even got a coach.

You can only conclude that TS has accepted relegation when AS was sacked because TS was never going to finance a "championship" side - we can't afford one.

Just wish TS had given AS a first window and the time to enhance the playing staff into functioning even better than the Newcastle match....as a group !

The worrying thing is what the players are actually doing in training... for example, we rarely look at all dangerous from set plays - too routine and predictable. Players with a bit of potential are repeating the same mistakes, for example, final pass/shot from Taylor is just as bad as on the day we signed him - no sign that anybody has tried to improve that. I could go through most of the squad regarding repeated errors that never seem to change.

Hi froggy, you know as well as I do that you can`t have sentiment in football, I too hope the retained list is made by the manager who is going to work with the player`s that are left.
At some stage the club will have to put some foundations in place rather than trying to build on quicksand like they have done.

Sutton United beat Leeds in the FA Cup. Does that mean that Sutton are good enough to compete and survive in the Championship or does it mean that they raised their game for this match.
