    The Payet effect

Do you remember last year that fiasco with dimitri payet for people who can't remember http://www.skysports.com/watch/video...leave-west-ham

Now we have liverpools Philippe Coutinho, Diego costa and maybe Alexis Sanchez all throwing wobblys wanting to move to another club and refusing to play at the current club they are in. Is this the payet effect?

Personally I think FA need to make it so clubs that the players are signed too are able to stop paying these people's wages and make it so these players are unable to sign a new club. It's totally unprofessional don't you think?

That's what happens when you let players become bigger than their club (in their head anyway) FA and the rest are to blame for letting the clubs pay silly money out.

Costa has been fined for not turning up to training . Yes just stop paying their wages

These players are just nobb heads really.

If the club is financially fine then let them stay at home and waste away until the other clubs forget about them.

They'll not be called up for internationals because they're not fit. They will be forgotten within a year!

FIFA or EUFA should bann all players that do this from playing Champions league and tother league.

To be fair to Costa, he was frozen out by the manager first. Told he wasn't part of the plans. He's at least been public about rather than pretending he would play like certain players of ours did.

Yes he was told he was not part of their plans but Chelsea are still paying his wages and call me old fashioned but if I'm getting paid by someone I'm sure they would expect they would want me to turn up to work. Not to mention athletico can't sign him until January and if costa don't train he won't be much use to them.

Training is in his interest, mind he's always looked 'solid'. Who is to say he isn't trying to keep his fitness up though? Doubt he's sitting around munching pies like. He wants to be playing, I can accept that and respect does work both ways.

However i also agree it is the money situation that has done it. People happy to fork over hundreds to Murdoch and Sky, then complain that the money is spoiling the game. Top footballers have always been well paid but it is the Sky cash that has sent it into the realm of the insane.

Although I admit they get a decent wad of cash from sky clubs like Barcelona PSG Madrid get money from image rights, adverts with there best player on, shirts with name on and big sponsorship deals. Yeah the player takes most of it but tax man, agent and club take apart of it too.

Oh btw murdoch don't own sky yet does he?

Sky TV was launched by News International, owned by one Rupert Murdoch. It is this mass market opening up that has led to the situation outlined above, advertising, image rights etc.

Not suggesting there is a solution but it was the catalyst for the money coming into the game and players going from local working heroes to believing they were some form of supreme beings on £300k a week (reputedly what Neymar is getting)
