    Defour speaking out

Tells Belgian Press he is happier here and he wants to do well and get in World Cup Team.
Olympia so unwilling to pay his original fee to us.

Good to hear we are playing more football in his eyes.

Cork and Defour are proper footballers playing on the same wavelength. Great to watch and very effective in retaining possession.

    .

so he was happy to leave....but Olympiacos didn't want to pay the 8mil asking price.....so he's staying - and at least were playing better football...long may it continue - dont want him to throw another hissy-fit.

I'm glad SD, Defour and the club have worked it out because this lad can certainly play football.

If he wants World Cup football he needs us to give him the PL exposure, so it's a win win for now at least. We need him to like Burnley and not just see us as a means to his ends though.

Perhaps not as brazenly as he was acting last season. Right now it was Hobson's choice for him to stay as no one wanted him anyway except a chancer wanting him cheap.
I like him and hope he has things sorted in his head and is willing to see out his contract.

Defour feels at home now and will love being a local hero with the fans.
