Conflicting reports today. Some say we've decided to keep him, others that he's still off on loan to Benevento with us paying some of his wages. Given our lack of options at left back, it all seems very odd to me.This is a player who in 2015 was wanted by Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain - Monaco allegedly bid 10m euros and had that turned down at the time. Where did it go so wrong that we'd rather ship him out and pay for the privilege than have him around as an option? I generally trust his judgement but sometimes I feel like Rafa really has a ruthless streak that seems to border on self-harming sometimes.

Last i heard was that we were now keeping him as left-hand side cover.

But that was this morning so who knows now.
