Just watched the game...Evans looked pretty impressive at the back....got motm and got stuck into some hard tackles too...
Brunt's free kick was a beauty.....

Brunt and Evans are such great professionals Woody.....they deserve all they get out of their careers.

Brunt has completed ten years with Albion as has James Morrison and there's never been a moments trouble out of either of them, no "Diva" behavoir,no transfer requests etc.

I will greatly miss them when they do finally depart due to age in the next three or four years.

Part of our strength and relative success over the last decade is to people like them and also Foster,Dawson,Yacob and the recently departed Olsson.......these guys were all around for around five years or more, the continuity and the fact they are good, solid characters has made a massive impact.

Well done to Brunt and Evans especially though, I have a friend who's followed Northern Ireland all over the World even due the dark years and he's loving it at present and so he should!

Exactly Mick, and Ive felt the same about them from the early 90s onwards when our club used to have 2 regular defenders in their team. It was when Mel Machin was our manager and his former Man City connections saw Gerry Taggart & Gary Fleming play regularly for us and 'Norn Iron' lol.

I follow non league football at Stourbridge FC Acido, same division as Shaw Lane Aquaforce who hail from your patch I believe.

One of our fellow Stour mates is from NI and he's followed them all over the world and us locals are NI "fans" by proxy really as we like to see them do well for our mate "Ulster-Jim" as well as our Albion boys.

Ive also been to Nth Ireland a few times Mick and I love their accent, its one of those quirky 'marmite' type accents which you either love or hate. And they had the nerve to take the mick out of me & my West Yorkshire accent by the way, the cheeky gits.
Also, Ive no idea who Shaw Lane are, cos Im not from Barnsley!!.
