I see your point but villa aren't in the top flight. Maybe someone like Swansea could put in a large bid for him in Jan to replace siggardsson. With respect Swansea are nowhere near as big as villa but they can offer premiership football. The next step for Hourihane isn't a massive premiership club, it's playing at the top level whether that be with villa or a lesser club like Swansea or Bournemouth

Shows you how times have changed when a Swansea or Bournemouth can out muscle an Aston Villa in the transfer market. I agree with what you're saying about the exposure the Premier League gives you as a player too. It's got to the stage where playing for Swansea is accepted as a step up.
