    Angus wasn’t injured

Big statement that from Hecky to hook his captain at halftime, especially with MacDonald having a bit of history in that area , starting his career at Reading and all his family up to watch .

You have to wonder if there is a way back for him now , all 3 who’ve come in for him this season have done better and we’ve also got Pinnock on his way back to fitness .

The end of Angus .... ?

For me I'd be giving Pearson the role at the side of Lindsay and see how that pans out .

Get McCarthy in at right back and Yids over on the left .

The one thing I think he needs to do is stick with a back four and try and mould a workable unit .

Deffo need a keeper in January to challenge Davies more effectively , dare I say an experienced one , a strong character and personality who will take charge of the lads in front of him .

Whether he will be allowed to do that is another matter of course .

Agree with that Animal , wondering if he let Townsend go out on loan to get a few competitive games as he’s maybe thinking about giving him a go again as he was quickly brought back .

For me, Pearson to be tried at CB, definitely McCarthy at RB but Yiadom on subs bench - he scares the life out of me defensively

I wouldn't say the end of Angus. The extra responsibility has obviously affected him. Cast our minds back 2 years when Alfie Mawson was struggling for form, that was until he was relieved of being captain. Some players thrive in the role and others don't.
