Hi my friend. Just seen the news on the fires in California. I trust you are not affected by these?

Thing is when these things get going, they take thousand of acres and destroy life, people's homes and property that runs into millions. A beautiful place and such a shame to see so much devastation.

I think he's OK as he moved North to the San Francisco bay area. Just fyi there are 3 l's in CTMilller

Thanks so much for the concern, Brin. As CAM mentioned I'm now northeast of San Francisco so well away from the current problems around LA. We were much closer to the Napa/Sonoma County fires a few weeks ago the closest of which was about 20 miles from my place. We had the smoke haze and smell and ash from that but we're never really in any danger since there is a fairly significant body of water between us and the area hit by fires. It's always a bit of a lottery, though. I'm very close (about 4 miles) to the site of the Oakland fires of 1995 which did some serious damage and caused 50 deaths.
