Would the comentator said that if it us.
It was hand ball soul tell him to look in the morning papers .
What an idiot that commentator is...so it's alright to chest the ball and then guide the ball into the net with your arm......plonker.
It's called football, not armball, intent shouldn't even come into it, if the ball goes in the net off the hand or arm it's a foul, whether it's accidental or deliberate. If it had been at the other end they wouldn't even be discussing it, it would have just been seen as handball.
It was arm to ball should have been sent off...that other cheating 'handball expert Baros' used to play for the dippers didn't he?
Ah, but it's not Curly. Accidental handball isn't a foul. Neither are 50% of the fouls given for tackles nowadays, if the contact isn't a deliberate attempt to foul then it isn't a foul. Refs just take the easy option.
As for last night the Scouse player had his arms outstretched with intent to control the ball with his arm therefore it was legitimately ruled out. You don't run around with your arms out like that do you?
Thought the ref was very good all through last night.
Of course it was handball. The player diverted it past Foster with his arm, deliberate or not.
Lads Going to put this one to bed for good , they watched it on match of the day last nite Alan Shearer & Danny Murphy X Liverpool & both agreed that the decision to disallow the goal was the right one & they must of seen it more times than us , then this morning on sky sports Dermot Gallagher X referee on ref watch said it was a good spot by the linesman & absolutely the correct one ! Just moaning big boys not having it their own way ,
They said on MOTD that that rule is likely to be introduced by the ruling bodies very soon. Good idea.
What about non deliberate handball by defenders in the box? Will that become a rule also? Certainly hope not.
