    £10m Bid in for Brooks.

Now it begins. The next 6 weeks will tell us we will ever need to know about our current board with absolutely no room for misunderstandings.
I reckon the bid could be from Palace on the grounds Citeh apparently want Zaha.

I'd sell him for £10m + add ons.

I see Slew has just joined a new club and people still says we always sell cheap

Whatever price we get, if we sell him, then it will never be enough to satisfy those who know exactly what we should have done...

    Not so.
I doubt anyone would be against a sale north of £10m.
The angst would arise if the proceeds were not made available to the manager to reinvigorate the promotion drive.
    And rightly so.

It is a fact that the board will never give a manager the correct funding. They couldn't possibly do this to satisfy some fans....
    ...even £10m wouldn't be enough.

    CW will spend wisely.

Rumours of Board unrest and McCabe supposedly back in the driving seat, poor run of form and conflicting stories that CW has got £3m to spend in JTW or it will dry up if the Prince walks away. All points to a sale which the majority of Blades would now accept if the money was right and it was reinvested in the team. No chance it will all be reinvested. Our lack of negotiating skills will surface again.

Lookman was a young Divison 1 player with experience of playing in the Championship around 40 appearances in total. Charlton know how to negotiate they got £7m up front with £4m add ons. He's not even a first team regular in the premiership. Contrast that with us giving DCL away for a £1.5m package with around half up front. DCL now an established premiership player first choice forward at the moment. Now tell me we are going to negotiate shed loads of money for Brooks.

£10m is probably half up front with the rest in add ons. I would prefer us to come out and reiterate Brooks is not for sale. His value will only keep going up. Problem is we have little money to spend in the JTW. If the Board had any balls they would demand £15m up front for Brooks and say we are going for it and give CW what he needs. They won't.
Young DOM's done very well, but i saw on one forum or other that some BLADES wunt tek him back even now, alot at the time said it was no gr8 loss, hindsight mi owd pal is a wonderful thing.I have to say also some of us that saw Dom play regularly in't academy sides thought he had a good chance(Ronaldo bein one)of havin a decent career but no way did i think he'd do this well for Everton so quickly.By the way Longy no way am i havin a dig at your post.UTCB

I can't comment on DOM at the Lane as I didn't see enough, but he is really looking the part now and I hope he achieves greatness.
Given away for buttons though. Soton would have got 10 mill easy. And sadly that's the truth.
