    Trying to stay positive......

Well that wasn't great was it....

it's no coincidence that we are still 6th after this really poor run BUT we missed a big opportunity today.

In hindsight i question the starting 11.

Really thought we'd win comfortably today after last weeks boost.

Not completely lost fait yet but im close after today. So disappointed.

    We need fresh blood!

I am anything but a clapper, but we have to look at the chances created, we should have got something out of the game, Clarkes miss was criminal. We have lost a few but have seen nothing to say we cant stay in the top 6 till the end of the season, need more quality in forward areas.

We need a brooks in the team, the ability to run at defenders and go past them is missing. We got around the back a few times second half but quality of the ball in was crap.

I’d send CCV back TBH, he was shocking again and his nervousness seemed contagious.

That said it was hard to pick a single player who was really on his game today, but we should have been cuter even allowing for that. We played to their strengths not ours.

We need to be very careful of not self-destructing when there is so much of the season left. We are in a decent position with the transfer window upon us.

Wilder was brutally honest in his assessment. Slammed Billy who is offering us nothing at the minute and looked finished today. Slammed the quality of the final touch in front of goal. Dropped a major hint at investment for sharper players and quality players.

He sounded like a frustrated man to me.

Do we need to lower expectation given that the level of investment probably wont come in Jan?

How weird is it that we are all sat here deflated at going into 2018 in 6th place in the Championship. Bizarre!!

your right mw to beat teams that set up against us like they did today you need players like brooks who can take players on and take em out of the game leaving space for others and we just havent got those types of players and thats why i would love us to get jamie murphy back on loan in january

Totally bizarre as we exceed virtually everyone's expectations and that might just be the sort of performance that enhances CW's argument to convince the board to spend.

Lets hope so..... i wasn't so sure about another striker being needed before the summer but after today i am.

Also my gut is telling me that we wont see Brooks again for Sheff Utd...really hope I'm wrong.

We move on to Derby...they are prone to the odd mess up!
