    Quinn signs contract extension.

Until the end of the season. Pleased with this I think he's been really steady for us.

Hearing that Stanton will be signing a permanent deal too

Which would solve the loan player number restriction problem.

Pleased with this, I think Quinn has been good apart from the St Mirren game . But no the only one that night.

Seriously hope that's true re Sam Stanton, would be an excellent signing and one of those to build a side round for the future.

Liking how this is beginning to shape up! Looks like those running the club are showing signs of the same kind of improvement in their areas of responsibility as the manager and players are in theirs. All now focused on promotion by the most direct route possible, winning the Championship. P2BAA.

Tbf, with the exception of last January, those running the club have never failed to back the manager in the transfer market. We've just not had a manager capable of doing their own job properly, whether that be signing the right players or getting the best out of them.

Happy enough that Quinn has signed again, but i think he will only play when others are injured.

This window is beginning to look similar to my definition of the board backing the manager, which i have not seen for more than a few seasons. For once, only 2 players have been released with possibly 5 to replace them. It may transpire that some more players will depart, but i hope one of them makes us a bit of money. But replacements seem to be getting added before the next one departs.

Stanton being offered a contract will i think be the best move for the coming seasons.

Which is the exact opposite of the previous approach and we'll be all the better for it.

Shouldn't be a problem in this window- if not sooner, let's face it Robson and Fraser will be gone in the summer on Bosmans, however we know with development fees we'll effectively be guaranteed circa 500k for the two of them. Yes, it's not Guald or Robertson levels of cash, but its money that needs to be utilised now rather than the summer. The Board (finally for once) would appear to be doing that.

There has been too many rumours and i expect that Robson at least will move on, then a new LB arrived kinda adds to that for me. As for Fraser, i think he will sign a new deal given recent events and will hopefully prove his talent next season and make us a wee bit more money.

With some of the other types of players being rumoured then signed, i expect that we may loose others.

Expect Robson will be offski which I don’t think is a disaster, he’s become a steady enough player at this level but I have doubts in his ability to go much further as unlike Barry Douglas, he has no outstanding attribute.

Fraser’s talent is undeniable but it’s increasingly clear his foot isn’t up to the job of being a pro footballer. His entire game is based around close control so he’s always going to encourage late tackles. It’s now happened 3 times in last year, he’s going to have to prove he’s over that before anyone parts with a fee.
