    Doubt turns to no chance

Today’s game stands as the removal of all doubt that we will be down here for a long time! It was that bad that I am actually struggling write my thoughts on today. There is no anger there which is a strange feeling after that, maybe just resigned to the fact that we have been ****ed since Houston departed!
    1st goal we couldn’t defend a corner
2nd goal was lost in midfield
3rd goal I didn’t even see because someone was already heading out the door before the lad made it to the box!
    As for our players…….
Lewis is starting to look like a player who has nothing to prove. It is becoming more and more apparent that he will be playing whatever display he is able to put in. If his deal means it costs us to drop him, I think it would be easier to send him back as the deal is not working in its current shape.
Murdoch I will not be too harsh on as it was his first game back, but not anywhere near good enough.
Durnan I feel really sorry for as he was doing the work of 2 defenders today and seemed to have quite understandably lost confidence in passing to Quinn midway through the first half! He didn’t deserve to be part of a defence that shipped 3 goals!
Robson really didn’t have a good day at the office and didn’t seem to be interested in attacking like he usually does.
King didn’t have Robson to support him and was easily dealt with by Morton. Even tried passing to an overlapping Robson in the second half who had stayed back!
Flood in todays setup proved beyond doubt that he is not near good enough to control the midfield amongst the youngsters he was up against.
Stanton is another I felt sorry for as he was making the runs but didn’t have the back up.
Lyng showed some promise but didn’t get the support from behind or inside.
Mikkelsen just didn’t get the service he needs because of what was happening.

Now if you are still reading, then you will be saying, what about Quinn. Well I have to say that I was one who was really happy he was signed up as I thought he had the ability to walk this league with a bit of experience. I am now very sorry to say that! Really couldn’t handle the lads running at him which Morton were exploiting to the max. This held Robson back and thankfully Durnan was there to cover as well.
I doubt you are still reading now but I wasn’t too impressed when McDonald signed, but I grew to appreciate his work rate for the team. I even praised him for the job he did when he dropped back into Frasers role recently. However, what the hell was he doing today? There was some good runs, usually straight into trouble if he wasn’t passing the ball straight to Gary Harkins!
Kadded I will reserve judgement on as he appeared to put in a cracker of a tackle when faced with someone flying at him. The Morton player knew he was walking and went into hiding, so I really don’t know what the referee saw! Dropped out of the game to an extent after that and must be wondering what he has got himself into.
Slater and Martin were on too late to make any difference and Morton were firmly happy with what they had. This gave the 2 lads more space to work in and I cant judge them on that!

To take a chance, someone has to create one!
