    Lascelles

What would you estimate his value to be right now? £10, £20 million or more.

Well in this insane moneied market. . .

He's young, prem experience, English - regardless of skill that puts him around the £15-20 million mark i'd guess.

With his potential, his youth, today's prices and his known commitment I'd put him at £20 million and rising, but more for the top clubs.

Yeah, 20 or so million, you'd think.

Opened up this thread worried that I'd see he was injured or even going!!

Nah.. Think the plan is to field 10 defenders not 9 and go for a 0-0 every week .

Well Stones was £47m 18 months ago, Van Diyk was £75m earlier this month and Man City have just paid Bilbao for Laporte £57m for an unproven at premier league level centre back. Are they that much better than Lascelles? I don't think they are. He is only 23, he has presence, is a good captain, is good in the air, scores the odd goal, doesn't take any shyte, is quite pacey and his reading of the game is improving all the time. We are a much better side/defence with him in it. So I would say the same price as Stones.

Our most valuable player IMO. We go down, he's history and the fat mans wallet bulges.

In today's market, £30m is a very reasonable amount for him. Definitely more than £20m and that is not being ridiculously greedy either.

Offloading him for any money this window will all but guarantee our relegation this season.
