By any chance ,Could it be the old Cnut in the Dafabet shirt ? Lol
Did you know our resident moderator Alto is a massive Annan fan ?
I knew somebody was on here but couldn't remember who.
I follow Annan Athletic in remembrance of Solwaycoast (Stan), a true Annan supporter who was the life and soul of the Annan board, he used to come on the Walsall board where a lot of us exiled Clarets used to congregate and then on the Swindon Board, Nut used to travel up to Annan and stay with Stan and his family now and again, and Stan often visited Burnley to see the Clarets and stay at Nuts, I had the pleasure of meeting Stan, his wife and sister at a Bob meet weekend in Blackpool, he was a top man and is greatly missed, Come on you Bankies.
Always said I'd give Walking Football a go Casper, but like a lot of things I have not got around to looking where my nearest one is.
Aye I think I remember some of the conversations on the Annan forum.
My youngest lad used to play with them up to the age of about 14.
My knees are knacked and I packed in playing five a side etc about 5 years ago but really missed playing. A mate at work told me about walking football and despite the p*ss taking you get, it is a really good laugh. Right good mixture of abilities.
Get involved - you wont regret it.
I stopped smoking 4 years ago, stayed on the vape for 3, and for the last year have only been on the nicotine chewing gum, I walk more than I used to do and exercise a bit with weights indoors.
One of my ex workmates plays table tennis (which I enjoy) and I have been saying for over a year now that I will join him one evening, like the Walking Football its just getting my lazy self going Casper.
Nice Photo by the way![]()
To answer the question: "The good looking dude in the Burnley shirt?"![]()
Maybe get a Clarets Mad team together and come up for a game! I am sure that a lot of the lads knew Stan and would make you feel very welcome. We usually have a bit of a social in the clubhouse afterwards and we occasionally have a beer/pizza/quiz day so I am sure we could push the boat out and sort a sesh.
It might be time for BT and a few others to polish up there silky skills.
Who would I play for? - I suppose whichever team would have me![]()
I'll leave it with you as a rumbling thought.
