really hope so him and brooks back to full fitness is like signing 2 new players already
The problem is it took him two years to get to full speed from his last major injury when he first arrived
As confident as he is, and as much as we want to see him back we have to be prepared for the fact that he might not be the same player ever again.
I suppose that's what happens when you're Sheffield Uniteds best player in a decent team for a change.
And in September and October I called it, I knew it would happen
actually my man love for Couttsy worries me![]()
There’s no reason at all why he can’t be as good or even better than he was. He was ‘lucky’ with the type of break and the bone in that area will be even stronger than before. His mental recovery is key and the unknown factor which could take time, but unlike ligament injuries physically he’ll feel fine almost from the off.
That’s not me saying it, it’s what our former club doctors said, and I don’t buy all this United are jinxed crap, we make our own luck like any other club...despite what McCabe would have us believe at times.

has he? hmmm not sure Gray.............
So you’ve never heard McCabe bemoaning our ongoing bad luck for our league position then Aya (ax opposed to selling our best players or not investing correctly when we should have)? Hmmm, how about this then, one of many...has he? hmmm not sure Gray.............
“Since the misfortune of our relegation from the Premier League in 2007, as a result of the so-called 'Tevez Affair', we have had to cope with unforeseeable and extraordinary circumstances which have played their part in halting the progress been made at the time of our promotion back to the top echelon of football in 2006. Any reasonable minded supporter acknowledges that were it not in part for ill-luck, we should surely by now be playing in a higher league”.
Whilst I would agree that we've had some bad luck (if you grant that "luck" is real thing, which I'm not so sure about...), I and I think others would have more respect for the man if he didn't try pinning everything on bad luck rather than admitting his own and the board's culpability in the situation we found ourselves. Granted, he says 'in part' in that quote, but if he'd also said 'and, I admit, some of the decisions I and the board have made', I'd have a lot more sympathy for him. As it is, it sounds, as ever, like he's blaming others for everything.
It goes without saying that he's better than the car-crash from across the city, but this idea of 'better the devil you know' isn't always conducive to forward movement - in my opinion, of course![]()
