chatting with my mate in Porto, who told me earlier today they had signed Mbemba before the story broke officially. Our conversation turned to Diego Reyes.
He is not happy (to say the least - can't repeat here the exact words as it will just be **** **** ****) that this fella was allowed to run down his contract.
As I mentioned in the Mbemba thread that he, Diego Reyes, was allowed to depart for free. He also said the guy is quality but is not a physical type of defender. When I asked if he would be able to handle the 'Classic English CF like Andy Carrol' (bad example I know as Carrol spends more time on the treatment table than on the field but you get my drift) he said probably not.
I guess if he is back up and Laselles is next to him to deal with the physical side of the game then maybe he will be fine but one on one against a sledge hammer CF he will struggle.
For free, I guess better than nothing!

You're right but what I mean is that at this point the most quality out-of-contract players will have been snapped up (IMO of course), so what's left will be a gamble more than anything else - hopefully with a positive outcome. Originally Posted by Jammy89

Fulham have just submitted a £26 million bid for a centre forward so looks like we’re stuck with Mitro Originally Posted by Jammy89
