What happened to that Turkish Lad we were 100% gonna sign

    Areet lads n lasses.

Before the world cup we were supposed to be nailed on to buy some Turkish lad who was previously on Ar$enal's books.
He signed a new contract, negating the sell on fee the Gooner's have been owed, with a 10 mil release clause. We were nailed on to buy him.

Not heard hide nor hair about it since the Coupe du Monde booted off.

Just another smoke screen or paper talk I guess.

File it with the rest of them.Anyone over a fiver is a no go for Penfold and the slug.
Just do what I have done.Written off this and all future transfer windows until the slug finally slithers out of our great club.
It's the only way,but unfortunately I can see him here for years yet.

We we're linked and then it came out (admittedly in the chronicle) that we hadn't put a bid in and whilst there was interest not as much as had been whipped up.

Most of us came to the conclusion it was agent talk since he is still at the Turkish club.
