    Moments that changed football

    ...good or bad.

    A player doing something outrageous that every kid tried the next day, a rule change that totally changed the way the game was played or a major incident that altered the football landscape forever. A few obvious ones but I'll start off with a fairly whimsical one(if no one's arsed I'll add more later ) :

    The Cruyff turn.

    Brilliant -hadn't thought of that.

    I'm not going to add the Roeder shuffle as it wasn't quite as, erm...global!

    Kev's Liverpool domination in the 70's and 80's particularly with very small squads.

    I believe that one season they won it only using 14 players.

    You couldn't imagine that these days.

    The start of the premier League
    Pass back to goalie rule change
    Man u triple
    Cantona flying kick
    Di canio catching the ball and stopping the game

    I remain convinced after that season we got pipped at the post, Fergie changed his footballing style and built attack orientated sides from that point on - Influenced by us. Call me deluded but I think its true.
