Cheers Gumper... Doyle would be a big get for us if Ardley could pull it off... proven at all levels and a total fighter who alongside O'Brien would kick that midfield into shape... as for Coventry maybe getting Meyler... what a signing that would be... have seen him play numerous times for the Republic and he is an excellent player.

It begs the question regarding previous windows , and their lack of quality . I suspect due to Ardley's persistence, and balancing acts, that there has been little additional net cost.

He could have pulled the plug on finances in the circumstances, but instead he seems to be going all out to save our season. He has, but we also have to give credit to Ardley who has had a far better window than any under Nolan. He almost looks like he knows what he's doing. Some of the outgoings are as impressive as the incomings, so maybe it is almost cost neutral.
