    Here’s one for John Nelms

We know he doesn’t do email replies, so I’ll post this here in the hope he does social media or one of his sidekicks reads it and points it out.

I’d like to ask, how many 64 year olds does he think, sit at Dens each year and say to themselves, I can’t wait till next season, I’ll get a cheaper season ticket, not very many I’d have thought, as 65 is no longer the magic age for stopping work.
We here about the not so we’ll of OAP’s, most of these are people who didn’t work up until they were 65, or if they did, were on a lesser wage, I’d say most of these people don’t attend football matches due to the cost.

How many parents think to themselves, wee Jimmy is twelve in May, his season ticket will jump from £1 to £115, or how many young lads / lasses think, I’m 18 this year, my ticket doubles from £115 to £230 this year, how will I afford this, I’m a student or on less than the minimum wage, you see most of the young people won’t receive a full wage until there 21 or they may be on a 4-5 years course at college, struggling to get by, in my opinion these are the biggest reason for falling sales.

I’d go for a price structure of, under 16’’s at £50, under 21’s at £150 and adults at £350,

    I’d go PATG under 16’s at £5, under 21’s at £10, and adults £22,

Cat A matches, under 16’s £10, under 21’s £15, and adults £25, all with a £5 discount voucher for the next home Cat B match,

This is just my opinion, be interesting to hear others, or even a reply to this.

See where you're coming from...but the reality of your prices is that we would have to more than double our uptake on the reduced season tickets which is never gonna happen in the current climate just for the club to break even financially

Not so sure on that, the £1 to £50 would bring in extra income, the amount of 16 - 21 season tickets would increase, and a few £’s saved on OAP tickets

Your pricing structure makes a lot of sense, but I'm disappointed to see you seem to be following the trend of businesses and institutions regarding loyal customers.
Leave if you want, we just want new customers so can charge more.

My father took me to Dens in the fifties, and I have been going ever since, my family are all Dundee fans, and I take my grandsons to the games.
I see the oap discount as a reward for my loyalty after all these years of loyal support.

You have seen some great times, maybe you should pay a premium for that?

At least your admitting it's a discount but it's gotta change or your grandchdren won't have a DFC to go and see.

What do you think could make it happen...the way I see it a combination of old firm greed TV companies calling the shots mass unemployment in Dundee and a poor standard of Scottish football isn't going to help us shift more season tickets whatever the price

Unemployment in the city runs at about 3.5%....much less than the early eighties and the beginning of the financial crisis.

We do have some poor wages in the city though.

Make it exciting, a decent price and give youngsters what they want and they will come.

I'll bet my bottom dollar there will be a guid few under 25s who will be at paisley and possibly perth but won't be at Dens for the next game. Why is that?
