    Daniel Stendel Look North Feature

So not only is he in The Garrison last night he's celebrating with the fans in true tarn style .

Never seen anything like it , totally unique character .

Not only a great coach but a cracking down to earth person .

Absolutely right mate. Great feature on look north as you say. This man just looks a perfect fit for this club. We've taken him into our hearts and he's taken us into his. I look forward to next season. To the board-Please do not fuq him over with a fire sale like what happened to Hecky. This head coach can take us somewhere

He's bound to have attracted attention from other clubs , success and a pleasing attacking style will always court admirers .

I think we also have to bear in mind the attention he will have received in his homeland too , double exposure you might say .

The worry for me is that his wife and kids are still in Germany and I know from reading last Saturday's match programme that he finds that incredibly difficult which is understandable .

A big club like Stuttgart who are almost certain to be relegated from the Bundesliga may come calling and I'd be surprised if he turned it down in all honesty .

Ive been trying to suggest on some other boards tonight that he/Stendel should definitely be considered for one of the managers/coaches of the season.
Remember this is his first season in English football isnt it, so that is a big language & culture barrier for a start.
And then remember hes taken over a team who were just relegated down to Lg One, so the pressure was on him immediately because we all had our hopes about doing well this season didnt we ?.
And I really dont think we've spent madly have we, the owners are still keeping their money and their intentions close to their chests etc.
And as for the player injuries & suspensions, and the pathetic Sky tv based suspensions as well this season, I think he and we have done absolutely frikkin ace!.

I’m thinking that we probably have him for another season at the most. Unless some big moneys offered he seems a man for who loyalty and togetherness will be a big thing. His Pride in doing this with this group will be big, and I would hope that if deals are made to keep at least a few of the potential losses of players to higher paying clubs are met then I’d like to think that he will want to try his hand at the Championship. He’s played with Wagner, and will have seen what he achieved, from a low base in the Championship ( the dog Botherer's finished low down in his first season) Family wise, the contract I think was for two years? So they would have discussed the possibility of him being home in 6 months if it went belly up, or changes if it were successful after a season. Hopefully that may be sorted for him
If we make a good start in the higher league then I’d expect a club in Germany to come in mid season. Then they draw home would be too great.

However I remember reading an article by Johnny Steele about his loneliness when first arriving at Barnsley..... in those days, no FaceTime, Mobiles etc. And the train took half a week to get back to Scotland! Look how long he was here. !
