    Looking to the future...

...now we know where we’ll be next season who goes and who stays?

Imagine we’ve seen the last of Blackman and Butterfield, soon to be joined by Bryson, Nugent and Ambrose.

That still leaves the question of what to do with those such as Martin, Wisdom and FloJo all good players just a short time ago but none of whom have contributed much of late.

Do we offer Bradley Johnson another year on a less expensive contract? He’s shown he’s capable in the last couple of months but would he stay for less?

What about Carson and Roos. I know the latter was horribly at fault yesterday but frankly we wouldn’t even have been at Wembley without his efforts since February.

Can Marriott’s problem - if there is one - be solved. Looked such a great signing but was he ill or are the rumours of a drink problem true?
I’ve no idea but at his best he’s a damned good player imo.

Cole too needs sorting. Keep up his player registration and take him on as a coach to help the likes of Bogle and Lowe or let him go as an ageing luxury?

Finally, Tomari seemed quite open to the prospect of another season at Derby on EMTV tonight, or is that just him saying the right thing? Love him to stay for another year but I can’t see Wilson and Mount doing the same.

So many questions even now. Any thoughts and answers?

No answers, its almost a clean slate. I wound like Tomori to stay, not massively fussed about the others but don't want them playing against us. Not sure what youth prospects we have, will await mistas view on that.

I'd expect us to look for a new keeper. I'd be upset if we lost Bogle.

One thing is for certain, we will look very different, and we have no real indication of what to expect next season.

Adi we do have a few youngsters nearly ready McDonald is good left back/left centre half fee composed on the ball takes a great free kick Sibley tenacious little midfielder who can score he's one of those players who ghost past defenders We could see him this year Obviously Bird FL rates him, I'm so-so about him Then we have the speed and trickery of winger Mitchel- Lawson he gets you if your seat Don't think we will see Mount again Wilson not really bothered Would love Tomori Whoever is manager has a massive job this summer It will cost approx £3million in wages just for Martin Thorne and Anya can't see those three contributing anything Still a lot to look forward to Luke Thomas coming back McAllister should return Hard to believe that are talking to Bryson about a new contract and we've got Lawrence for three more years Yes need a new goalie Roos has done ok but most games he makes the wrong decision at least once He's got away a few times with dashing out when he shouldn't have done Hope his mistake at Wembley don't mean he has to go through the same rubbish that Keogh has had to

Roos has had a few good games but he is a flapper. I don't think Mount and Wilson will play against us as I can't see them going to another Championship side apart from us. You can see Bogle is Prem quality but if we do sell him please don't let it be for peanuts!

Still think we can make a team of whats left!
We have Tom Huddlestone, Curtis Davies, Ikechi Anya, Kyle McAllister,Chris Martin, Scott Carson, Craig Forsyth (option of an extra year), George Thorne, Mason Bennett on contract until 2020.

Andre Wisdom, Jonathan Mitchell, Richard Keogh, Max Lowe, Florian Jozefzoon, Jack Marriott, George Evans, Martyn Waghorn
Scott Malone, Duane Holmes, on contract until 2021

Tom Lawrence, Luke Thomas, Jayden Bogle, Max Bird, Contract until 2022

So not as bad as we think!

Wasn’t suggesting it’s bad at all, MoP...and no one’s mentioned Shinnie yet either...he sounds like a midfield ‘presence’.

Would like to sort things as far as Anya, Martin and Thorne are concerned though. Bad for the morale of the squad as a whole to have the best paid pro’s hanging around contributing nothing, imo. I really rate Anya for example...but honestly, what is the point of him still being around the club and if Thorne is never going to be fit enough to play a part then the same goes for him too.

Still, even at this stage...Roos; Wisdom, Keogh, Davies/Tomori, Malone; Bogle, Shinnie, Johnson, Holmes; Waghorn, Marriott. Subs, Lawrence, Evans, Malone, McAllister/ Huddlestone/ Sibley, Carson wouldn’t be a bad start.

You are really gonna stress Malone, both having him as a starter and coming off the bench!

I'm guessing that Shinnie with replace BJ, although I'd sooner have one of the latter than the former. Huddlestone might find his way to the lower realms of the league system though and maybe BJ get another short term contract. Imagine Huddlestone going to Forest or Leeds?!

Oops...my mistake...nobody’s that versatile! Lowe on the bench then.

RA I used to rate Anya but having watched him in the last game of U23s season he looks washed up he eventually went of injured But he's finished I know we don't know the full story but to me he has just taken the pizz Still is i think Martin the same hope I don't ever have to see him play for us again Thorne still don't know what is going on with him I saw him in U23s a couple of times earlier in the season and thought yes he's on his way back looked strong and keen ,obviously not 100% but getting there even though he got sent off Then he's of to Luton on loan they must have watched him Then within 24hours of going there the manager leaves So he's back to square one by the look of it

Fair enough mista. Can’t remember the last time I saw Anya or Thorne. Liked both of them but I just don’t get the Anya deal and both contracts need sorting/paying off imo.
It’s one thing having a player who has suffered serious injury and never seems any nearer being fit, but it’s just bonkers, imo, to have a player at the club we can’t afford to use.
Wonder who gave those contracts out? Might it be the same person who sorted Chris Martin’s too?

That list just lacks the x factor to get you promoted

Roos - Can go for me
Wisdom - I would of played him left back in the play off final , thought he played better there than right back, but seems not in the plans so bye
Keogh - maybe one more go at it
Davies - I think the injury will have a massive effect we need more pace -no Tomori we need to think again
    Malone - I don't rate him
Bogle - needs to go to free up funds if its 10 million plus
    Shinnie - no idea
Johnson - We need to freshen up midfield so no
Holmes - yes decent player but we need more muscle to play with him
    Waghorn - Sorry I don't rate him
Marriott - Something amiss - wish someone would explain ,looks the real deal when? he plays
Lawrence - irritating player who looks like he can , but can't - cash in
    Evans - don't see anything
Huddlestone - finished in my opinion
Sibley - like what I see ,needs to be involved more
Carson - Lost that agility bye

Conclusion - Unless we sell Bogle and Lawrence for decent money and buy and loan 8 or 9 or 10 or 11 more players we are stuffed
