Pochettino got it wrong by pandering to the “big” names.

    Lucas deserved to start.

Winks was their best player and he took the easy option to remove him as a younger player.

Sissoko is garbage,I was distressed to hear we were in for him a couple of years ago FFS.

Failed to get Trippier and Rose far enough forward and Eriksen was way off his usual standards.

One of the poorest finals since that pile of s h I t in 1982.

I was at Old Trafford in 2003 to watch Milan v Juventus. Now that was a crap final and far worse than last nights in my opinion. Unfortunately for me European matches don’t have the same appeal when both teams are from the same country, even though occasionally you do get the odd great match like Man C v Spurs 2nd leg.

To be fair WCV I used to love watching that particular side you had in the European Cup. Always support the English sides in Europe and that was a side that played football as I like to watch it so good luck to them.

You are lucky to have such great memories of that time as we were with the great sides we had in the late 60s and then under Atkinson and Giles. Football was such a better game in those times in my opinion and lit up our ordinary lives in such a positive way. Enjoy the memories is what I say.

Those of us who were around to watch those matches were the lucky ones to have been around at the right time to appreciate them.

It was poor. Liverpool looked there for the taking.

Overall, I thought that Spurs were slightly the better side. Any football, and there was little of it, came from Spurs. The penalty was dubious at best and did have an impact on Liverpool's outlook on the game. Basically, a very poor and dull spectacle.
