Let's not be too hasty here steve , they came as a pair and yes he did one to Huddersfield but if Stendel is keen on adding to his backroom staff which he is then why not offer him his job back alongside Dale .

Anything that adds value at this level has to be considered and ditch the pride thing mate .

I'd ev him back cos he'll add experience to our backroom staff. Animal is reight in worriz sayin. Av left employment before and it ent worked art then I've been grateful to be accepted back by my old employers cos they know I can do a good job, so can Winkler should he want to stay in England. What kind of message does it send to Tongey or any others for that matter if he walks back into his job and Dale has to step aside? Might upset the good karma in the building. If he comes back he cannot be the assistant but we all know they'll soon be stepping on each others toes and potentially disrupting the dressing room. Too much risk for me!

I think having him back as part of the backroom team would make sense. However, do we know if Stendel is happy with Tonge as his assistant? He didn't exactly sing his praises when asked in the recent interview on football heaven.

Fair point Pass. I suppose we don't know the detail so we can't really pass judgement. I wouldn't be against him coming back but only Mr Stendel and his crew know the implications
