    Forgot this players name

Watched him make his debut in goal against Coventry away then we turned him into a full back.

Gordon Nesbitt. I was at Highfield Road that night. Was he our 3rd choice keeper after Osborne and Cumbes? I think we lost 5-1 or maybe 6-1. Then he converted to a pretty good fullback.

Thanks for the reply. My 10 yr old nephew was telling me that the Blackburn goalkeeper started off as a striker for Reading youth team.
Did you know Osbourne played wing half for England schoolboys.

I've looked at 'my book' and see what you mean and probably I'm wrong. That would not be the first time on here when it is comes to remembering details. Anyway I was sure we were thrashed. I recall thinking how he seemed just too short to be a keeper. I saw who scored but will not say as it would be cheating. Others should have a guess and see who gets it first.

Another question I don't suppose we will ever know the answer to

Why was Williams at right back when Dougie Fraser was sub?

I didn't know that about Ossie. Then again centre forward Kaye became an accomplished centre back
